karanganesan flaviocopes In my experience it works much worse than a couple years ago. Now many services seem to serve ads from the same domain that they serve their content. So imo it's not a reliable way anymore.

karanganesan flaviocopes Facebook serves their thumbnails from same as domain as their ads, so if youi block that you get A LOT of dead pictures. YouTube seems to mix both comments/ads/videostreams on same domain etc.

karanganesan flaviocopes It still helps so much for news websites. Some sites I can reduce the pageload by 80-90%
