    flaviocopes My best guess is that it's easier to list all the countries (grouped by which time they observe) than naming the various groups. There are more variables than just the timezone such as which time to switch to DST (though since 2000 that happens on the same date for EU)

      flaviocopes I bet more people would know that their city is Berlin than know that they observe Central European Summer Time, for example
